Unique product designs, emerging investment markets, local accounting and solvency requirements, and a 12-hour time difference are just a few of the many factors that make ALM in Asia interesting. The focus of this presentation will be on the many differences between ALM in Asia vs. North America.
Gerald Hoeppner has many years of work experience in various roles, all at Manulife Financial, including US Individual Pricing, Reinsurance Pricing, Reinsurance Valuation, and ALM. He has been responsible for ALM functions for the last 3 years, and assumed a managing role for investment decisions of Asian division last year.
